How do I earn passive income from my investment?
Passive income is non-active because your time is not directly tied to the output. Your initial investment provides cash flows (distributions paid out monthly or sometimes quarterly), annual K1s that show depreciated loss (if applicable), and then your entire investment returned to you with a bonus from the sale proceeds (or refinancing) of the asset.
How long should I expect to wait to receive my money back?
We usually see 5 years or less as the typical hold period for the operators that we deal with.
What are the fees?
As a Fund Manager, Jameson Capital usually takes a 2% acquisition fee on the total of all capital raised in order to cover SEC filing fees and internal business expenses. We only participate in the split after you get paid the preferred return–meaning that our upside is largely dependent on the performance of the investment overall.
What are the risks involved?
Any investment has inherent risk of losing capital. But risks can be mitigated through vertical integration of a given supply chain, deep research into sub-market trends, and strong upfront negotiations.
